Finding and managing attachments
Find and manage email attachments from all your Gmail accounts in one place.
Accessing attachments
- Go to Gmail → Attachments in the sidebar
- All emails with attachments appear in a list
- Attachments are shown inline below each email
Filter by file type
Use the filter chips to narrow down:
- All: Every attachment
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Documents: DOC, DOCX, ODT, TXT
- PDFs: PDF files
- Spreadsheets: XLS, XLSX, CSV, ODS
Filter by account
When you have multiple accounts, filter to see attachments from specific accounts only.
Attachment actions
For each attachment, you can:
- Download: Save the file to your computer
- Save to Drive: Save directly to any of your Google Drive accounts
- Share: Use your device's native share feature (mobile/desktop)
Why this is useful
- Find that PDF someone sent you months ago
- Locate all images from a project across accounts
- Download attachments without opening Gmail
- Save attachments to a different account's Drive
Note: Attachment content is fetched on-demand when you click download or save. Nothing is pre-downloaded or cached.
